Board programme

Focusing on quality improvement

Our board level programme focuses on quality and safety leadership and how it should be at the heart of the role of NHS Boards. The focus on continuous improvement is vital as evidence shows that even high performing healthcare organisations can improve their quality of care by focussing on safety and efficiency and putting the patient at the centre and how services are designed.

Working with Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA) the Eastern AHSN brings executive boards together over a two-day facilitated programme. The aim of the board level programme is to provide the time and space for boards to work together to develop organisational understanding and support for improving quality and safety in their organisation.
